A covered outdoor room with a fieldstone fireplace that pushes the season into November.
The challenge
The existing deck was unused for most of the year and disconnected from the kitchen.

The Northline solution
A timber-framed roof structure was added over a bluestone floor with a masonry fireplace anchoring one end, and the kitchen door was relocated.
