Can I hire a construction consultant without hiring them to perform the construction?
Yes. Northline provides construction consulting as a standalone service for Massachusetts homeowners, property owners and investors, whether or not Northline ever performs the work.
Yes, and it's a deliberate part of how Northline works. Consulting is a standalone engagement, not a sales step toward a construction contract.
Homeowners come to us for consulting in a lot of different situations: they already have a builder they like and want the proposal reviewed; they're managing the project themselves; they're weighing whether to renovate at all; or they simply want experienced construction judgment in the room before committing significant money.
The arrangement is straightforward. You describe the situation, we agree on the scope of the review, and you get direct, specific feedback in writing or in conversation. There's no expectation that it leads anywhere else.
You don't have to hire Northline to build your project to have Northline on your side.
